Some example of emergency/urgency in which is most usefull to call 112 instead of your GP
- A sudden thoracic pain, specially if associated with cold sweat or if is also present in the back, in the arm or in the neck (even if are passed few hours), during some minutes (not some seconds or as spill well localized), that doesn’t worsen with movements or when touching the chest.
- A serious breathlesness, specially if presenta t rest
- Loss of consciousness persisting when the patient lays down
- A sudden bewilderment, numbness or heavy drowsiness.
- A state of delirium with restlessness, self-harm risk, dangerous actions or or aggression (call also the police if the partient is dangerous for him or for other people)
- An head trauma with heavy pain (even if are passed some hours), specially if associated with sikness, vomit, drowsiness or faintness
- A deep wound, specially in the chest, abdomen or head
- Seizures (with or without consciousness)
- The sudden loss of strenght either of an arm or of a leg or a sudden difficulty to talk
- A burn of a wide body surface
- Trauma from falling in person that can’t stand or feel heavy pain in the back, hip er leg
- Black puke or cofee colored
- Black or cofee color stool with severe illness or faintness
Health problems, even if potentially serious, which the patient is able to stand or sitting or walking and if is transportable (e.g. an eye wound, sudden loss of sight, trauma with suspect arm fracture etc.) it is possible to be transported by relatives to the nearest Emergency Department.
