Every day a lot of people enter in Centro San Luca; on average every GP of the center has about 800/1000 encounters/month with her/his patients for examinations, check ups, prescriptions or bureaucratic paperworks; otherwise a lot of people make phone requests for prescriptions of drugs for chronic conditions booking visits or informations.
The GPs/Family practictioners have actually no waiting lists in Italy and receive their patient customers whit no limitations, every time they want, for every reason. Due to this an efficient and flexible management, is indispensable to deal with patients needs.
Accordingly to offer the citizens a wider opening time, for six days a weeek, every GP can visit also the patients of the others GP of the group through the access to the informatic and paper based documentation of the patients; even if the continuity of care with the named doctor is maintained.
The doctors of the group cohordinate also their activities of home caring for guaranteeing the continuity of care (8 ap 20 pm in working hours and 8-12 am Saturday and the days preceding holidays) either during the absence of one or more doctors of the group or in urgency cases.
